By using Expat Shield AI™ ("the service") you agree to these Terms. Read them carefully — they include important disclaimers and refund rules.
1. The service
Expat Shield AI is an informational and emergency-assistance companion for expats living in or visiting Thailand. We provide AI-generated guidance, hospital and emergency directories, encrypted document storage and educational content about insurance.
We are not an insurance company, broker, agent, law firm, hospital, or medical practitioner. Nothing in the service constitutes professional legal, medical or insurance advice. In an emergency always call local emergency services first.
2. Account and access
You need an account to access paid features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Lifetime access purchase
- The lifetime access price is 495 THB as a one-time payment.
- "Lifetime" means for the operational lifetime of the service.
- All current and future features included in the standard tier are covered.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Local taxes may apply.
4. Refund policy
Because access is granted immediately on payment, we offer a 14-day no-questions-asked refund from the date of purchase. Email refunds@expatshield.ai with your receipt. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not share your account with others.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service.
- Do not upload illegal content to the document vault.
- Do not use the AI assistant to generate harmful or illegal content.
We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is". AI responses can be incomplete or inaccurate; always verify critical information with a qualified professional. Hospital and emergency data may change without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for lifetime access (495 THB). We are not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time from settings. We may terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with a refund pro-rated only if required by law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Thai courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
